Looking for a landscaper?

Finding a good landscaper is not easily done through the Yellow Pages or Google. After all, type in Landscaper in Houston (where I live) and you get a combination of daily newspaper articles, something about a Texas A&M aggie horticulturalist and even something on hotels.

Go figure!

What we want is someone with a fair price, good quality and a dependable nature. What we get in the Yellow Pages is something that is outdated. When was the last time you use your Yellow Pages? It's a dead medium that refuses to die.

That leaves the Internet and to date the Internet has meant Search Engines. But, the dirty little secret of massive Search Engines such as Google and Yahoo is that the Internet is so much larger than they are. Add the more than 100,000 Search Engines together and they equal less than 25% of the Unique Visitors to the Internet each and every day.

In other words, people are waking up to the fact that 115 million matches is overkill. We need one, not 115 million. What's worse is that the top ten has little or nothing to do with what we're looking for.

Enter Tops In America. (www.topsinamerica.com) You get ten of whatever you're looking for and both video and a direct link to their websites.

What's more, you get to vote for Tops In America's listings and create a popular vote winner. This causes the Landscapers to participate in Tops In America in a way that holds them accountable for value. Winning the popular vote contest creates marketing momentum for the winning landscapers. With it, they have a point of difference between them and their competition that causes more people to select them.

For us consumers, Tops In America (www.topsinamerica.com) gives us the top ten we're searching for in the first place. It's just that easy.
