Making Sunday Morning Special:
Barna observed that we’re no longer preaching to the congregation,
we’re preaching to the parade. What he’s pointing
out is the new church-goer seeks more experience in their Sunday
morning services. The message is important, but there must be
more. Lighting and sound have standards and the outside world
– the unchurched world that visits your church –
will evaluate your church based on a lot of things, none the
least of which is “excellence.”
Many church and ministry leaders are committed to excellence.
We deliver it. Our “Sunday Morning Experience” Director
is Matt Schulte. Matt is a Methodist. Before becoming a Christian
at a Newsboys Christian concert in 1998, Matt was one of the
leading concert promoters in the United States. In that role
he was responsible for everything, period. He handled everyone
from the Rolling Stones on down. Incidentally, the Newsboys
concert where he became a Christian was his promotion –
he drew 33,000 plus to the concert in Houston’s astrodome,
at the time, the largest single band Christian concert in history.
There is nothing Matt doesn’t know about the light, sound,
image magnification, camera angles and “showtime”
demands of ministry. He can help your current staff and he can
take your presentation to a new level in record time.
